Welcome to the Bunker Questionnaire, a series in which we ask Bunker Projects residents and exhibiting artists a few questions based on Marcel Proust’s famous Proust Questionnaire, a survey that purported to reveal a person’s true nature. We hope their answers and the accompanying photos allow you to get to know them and their work a little bit more.

Izzy Knapp is a writer and artist from the Midwest. Their work is concerned with texture, rhythm, and sublimation. They hold an MFA in Poetry and an MA in English Literature. They believe that everything is collage.

Describe yourself in three words

“Curious, Ambling, Lacustrine”

What is your idea of happiness?

“Sitting on a balcony or fire escape when the light’s just right and reading.”

What’s your favorite studio ritual or habit?

“I put on gloves when I really need to focus, even if they’re not required for the task at hand.”
