For this addition to The Hand-Off series, Phoenix S Brown shares ​(Post-It) Notes on Duality, an introspective journal entry presented in an experimental format. In the piece, Brown 

unpacks her newfound identity as a “multidimensional” musical and visual artist, dissecting the origins of her musical practice and questioning the development of her tastes.

Phoenix S Brown is an interdisciplinary artist who highlights dialogues around Black feminism, personal narrative, and current events while critiquing western ideals of nature, still life, and portraiture. She graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2019 with an art history minor and focus in painting.
