Join us at Bunker Projects on Sunday, April 27, from 12-3 p.m. for the official book launch of The Garden from Almost Perfect Press!

The Garden reflects on the many ways that flowers hold meaning as subjects in art and writing. The book includes the work of Maggie Bjorklund, Ruben Castillo, Matthew Constant, Jess T. Dugan, Brett Lysne and Centa Schumacher, with contributions from Jenna Peng. This exciting new release is featured in the current exhibition Floral Methods. Almost Perfect Press is a micro-publisher founded by Brent Nakamoto specializing in hand-bound, small-batch publications featuring emerging writers and artists, and other short texts.

Brent, Centa and Jenna will be discussing ideas around uncertainty and hope, their creative practices, and the kinds of gardens they want to grow.

Copies of The Garden will be available for purchase at the event, and afterwards in the Almost Perfect Press online shop.

Bonus: Open Studios & Current Exhibition

Explore Bunker Projects’ current exhibition, Floral Methods, curated by past resident Théo Bignon. Bunker Projects current residents Saint Piñero and Isabella Schubert-Jones’ studios will also be open from 12pm-3pm, and the artists will be on-hand to discuss the work they’re creating as part of their residencies.

If you’d like to support Bunker Projects’ mission to provide a safe, equitable space for emerging artists to develop their practice and create new works for exhibition, please consider joining our Bunker Commons program or making a one-time or recurring donation here. We are so grateful for your generosity.
